Eyes stitched shut
But sight is what I seek
Mouth closed tight
But I look for words to speak
Without a mind
My thoughts are seething
And without a pulse
I continue breathing
Skin cold as ice
For I have metal plates for bones
Cannot hear a thing
So I am left here alone
Cannot move now
So instead I lie
I am not dead
But I am not alive
